All Packed Yet?
Going back and forth between home and Minnesota has made me a pretty good packer....but who knows? Maybe I WILL need that math notebook from sixth grade.....you know, just in case.
August 26-29. . .
I had grandiose plans to fit everything in one suitcase and one hiking backpack. Knowing myself just a little, I'm not really sure what I was thinking. It took me four days to pack and be satisfied with my packing job. I am now crossing the pond with two suitcases and my school backpack stuffed inside my hiking backpack. The amount of times I "repacked" my suitcases is borderline insane. I felt the need to repack every 20 minutes thanks to the crazy roller coaster of emotions I've had this week: giddy excitement, anxiety about what I actually need, knowing how much I'll miss home, and pure gratitude that I get to live in Europe for 3.5 months! I finally found the perfect place for everything in my suitcase last night, but those hiking boots were a bear! It took forever to find them a good home, but now they are hanging out next to my makeup kit so we'll see how that goes. When I wasn't packing my suitcase, I grabbed last minute things at the store, and I have a few odds and ends to pack before my flight on Saturday! Unfortunately, I didn't pack my math notebook from sixth grade...but here are some pictures of my packing progress throughout the week!

Monday:
When I thought I could fit everything in one suitcase
The enlightened day when I very wisely decided two suitcases was gonna be the move...otherwise known as Tuesday.

Wednesday...the day when I repacked and rearranged a good 23 times. It finally worked, and I found a home for my hiking boots!
I promised myself I won't repack any bag, and now I have a game-plan for the odds and ends that can't be packed until Saturday morning! Thanks for sharing this seemingly mundane, but surprisingly puzzling journey with me!
