Budapest, Hungary
Budapest was so complex! There was is much to do, eat, and see! It is actually a unification of two cities on opposite sides of the river: Buda and Pest! We arrived Sunday morning and went to Mass at St. Matthias's church on Buda hill. The Fisherman's Bastion, a monument to the tradesmen and a lookout point made for a great place to take pictures and see the skyline! After a 15 hour bus ride from Kraków, we all took a much-needed nap in our hostel. That night, we took an incredible boat cruise on the Danube and got to see the city all lit-up! Monday we headed straight for the baths and had a very relaxing time there! It was an unforgettable and unique experience! That afternoon, we walked around and stopped at a Street Food Caravan and had the best food there! We walked along the river and visited St. Stephen's Cathedral that night! Tuesday, I went to visit a small castle by the baths because it was so picturesque. Emily and I also visited the Music History museum that had a very interesting exhibit on the making of violins and the history of Opera in Hungary. Then, we visited the Central Market Hall before getting on our bus to Dubrovnik!
