A small, quaint town nestled in the Alps, and overlooking Hallstätter See. The perfect place for a Friday getaway! We took the train early Friday morning, and enjoyed 3 hours of beautiful views along the way. Once we got there, we had to take a ferry to the town from the train station, which made for a magical experience. Then, we grabbed some lunch before exploring all the little shops and side streets throughout the lakeside town. Mid-afternoon, we rented a small boat and enjoyed an unforgettable ride around the lake with beautiful views of the town and surrounding Alps. When we got back on land, we walked to the church and saw the famous altarpiece. It was a much needed day of walking and just enjoying food, shops, views, and each other!
